Monday April 6, Day One - Asalam alaikum!

  • Arrivals – Brooke or Khalida will be accompanying all transfers from the airport to our private, women-only hijabfree riad
  • Tea and snacks for early arrivals
  • Meet and greet, explanation of best practices
  • Gift bags!
  • Group prayer for those available
  • Sumptuous dinner and lively discussion

Tuesday April 7, Day Two - Reconnect to Self - Pampering!

  • Muslimah-led yoga by the pool (indoors)
  • Breakfast
  • Guided Reconnect to the Fitra-self with Khalida
  • (Modest) Spa pampering of ‘the vessel’ at a luxurious and private (just for us!) spa
  • Group prayer for those available
  • Dinner and discussion

Wednesday April 8, Day Three - Connecting with Sisterhood and Self - Playday

  • Muslimah-led yoga by the pool (indoors)
  • Breakfast
  • Swim or relax in the heated, private pool?
  • Reconnect to your heritage from atop a camel, riding along the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains
  • Optional quad (buggy) ride across the desert-like landscape
  • Lunch
  • Group prayer for those available
  • Creative activity
  • Dinner and discussion
  • *The majority of the counselling sessions will occur on this day

Thursday April 9, Day Five - Hiking in the Majestic Foothills, Reconnecting with Sustainer Exercise

  • Muslimah-led yoga by the pool
  • Breakfast
  • Hike in the foothills and enjoy traditional Moroccan bbq
  • Picnic and guided imagery exercise to reconnect to Sustainer while out in His stunning natural setting
  • Group prayer for those available
  • Creative activity (writing or art/craft)
  • Dinner and discussion

Friday April 10, Day Four - Jummah Prayer and Sightseeing in the Dazzling Red City - Marrakech

  • Early Muslimah-led yoga by the pool (indoors)
  • Quick breakfast
  • Jummah at the iconic and spectacular Koutoubia Mosque in Marrakech
  • Lunch in the bustling J’ma el Fna
  • Tour of the historical Madrassa Ben Youssef
  • Shopping and souvenir hunting in Marrakech’s dazzling souks
  • Dinner and discussion back at the riad
  • Creative activity

Saturday April 11, Day Six - Taking It All Home

  • Muslimah-led yoga by the pool (indoors)
  • Breakfast
  • Guided imagery exercise to keep moving and mind the obstacles
  • Learn how to recreate a Moroccan tagine at home the traditional way
  • After lunch walk/hike
  • Group prayer for those available
  • Dinner and discussion back at the riad
  • Farewell circle

Sunday April 12, Day Seven - Departures

  • Breakfast
  • Final farewells and flights home

You are welcome to participate in as few or all of the activities you prefer. We also encourage you to take time for yourself, enjoy the beautiful lakeside views on the riads roof, take dips in the heated pool, go for walks along the shore and get plenty of rest.

 

Individual,One-On-One Counselling Sessions:

When you register for the retreat we will ask if you would like to reserve a counselling session with Khalida. These are very limited and so will be allocated on a first come first served basis. They will last 45/50 minutes which is otherwise known as the therapeutic hour. These sessions will be private and confidential spaces where you can talk through anything that arises for you as a consequence of the activities and experiences whilst at the retreat or anything you feel you need to explore in relation to the theme of reconnecting. You may want to share something that you have not shared with anyone else before. In this time you are unlikely to attain full resolution. However insha’Allah it may put you on a path to seeking further help by removing some of the fear that has been an obstacle to your addressing the matters you may share with me. There may be slots available during the retreat, but we encourage you to book them ahead of time.
